Philippe Berthier: “At the crossroads of painting and photography, I propose a rich artistic world in technical experiments. Always attracted by the image, I work photographic techniques since the 90's. Works in my reign a dark and lyrical atmosphere that overwhelms us and leaves us more. But above all I met Serge Gal, renowned photographer, which earned me a real awareness about my approach to my image and design capabilities. Drawing my inspiration from impressionists, surrealists and the Baltic photographers; it was from 1998 that I finally let my creativity run free.”
