LIFE IN REFLECTION
Esther Rosenberg: “Life in reflection is intended to be a visual metaphor for the nature of identity: fluid. Far from static, our identities are a complex progression, tied to experience, age and gender. I also feel that our sense of self, particularly as women, is largely defined and distorted by the way others perceive us. I wanted to convey a gradual progression towards clarity and self-realisation across the generations. My body of work reflects on who I am as a young woman and a daughter. It looks at how we see ourselves and asks the question, “How do you see me?”
