AN UNPLEASANT LIFE
New York-based artist Rose Freymuth-Frazier works on figurative painting with a dark, twisted approach, giving an unpleasant life to her various female subjects. Her imagery discusses important issues like violence, sexuality and childhood development, focusing on the female mentality. Her heroines are everyday women that proudly express their insecurities, fears and emotions. For Freymuth-Frazier, every woman is an interesting model for her work and the artist focuses on literally every single one of them. From the abused housewife, to the transsexual girl next door, the artist paints these women’s lives with a respect and a responsibility to depict both their inner and outer world in the best way possible.
